What label would suit ‘the past’ the best? I would say the word, “The departed’. Reason being, there is no way for the departed to find a route to return. There is no way to return. Once dead, they are buried 6 feet or more underground left to rot and vanish deep into the ground. The best way to treat ‘a past’ is to treat it as the departed or we will keep thinking of ways to bring a past back in the future and the present with our what ifs or whatsoever. So there u go, the word, “the departed” seems to form up some strength to speak a message that there is no way the dead can return once dead. So there it goes, To rest in peace and never awaken. Six feet underground to the point of its non-existent it shall made to be. No more hope in its return. No more hope to its existence. And no more questions to its happenings. Memories tugged away in the dark never an opportunity to breathe a gain nor see light. R.I.P.
Its hard for one to come to exception but yet this seems to be the only way out at times. To treat what has gone as departed, cry, mourn , scream and find a way out. Perhaps.

Its Up to Us.

heres another word for past - "if"
Nice thoughts...you have really made me thoughtful...its the reality & we have to move on with it!
whenever i think of past I am usually like "if I did that, i wouldnt have to face that", "if i hadnt fallen in love", "if i had taken that scholarship", if this, if that...so many decisions, so many situations, predicaments but always an "if" attached...

Rajeev: Hello Jeevy. Love the new display. Cute!lol..
Yeah once gone can never have it back but the human mind or lets say our emotions has a way of giving us the ifs.. A challenging task thats easier said than done i must say. but when done. Its like a whole brand new day!:D
Cheers!
I like wut u said. However Amy, we cant treat some experiences in the past in the same way we see death of a person. While the past must be buried, we r all made of our PAST experiences...the PAST is a big part of our PRESENT, no matter what.
**The best way to treat ‘a past’ is to treat it as the departed
yes but it's easier said than done...cos the PAST comes to haunt us from time to time. We may bury it today, but tomorrow the PAST may be sitting in front of u, mocking ya, forcing u to recognise it..
**Memories tugged away in the dark never an opportunity to breathe a gain nor see light. R.I.P.
ok I like wut u said here. But how easy is it to control our MEMORY? I mean how easy is it to stop certain experiences from the past flowing into the memory? I dunno abt others, but its very hard for me to do that.
**Its hard for one to come to exception but yet this seems to be the only way out at times
yes..at times it's the best thing to do...but not necessarily the easiest one to achieve.
Great post, I liked it...it made me think alot. ty Amy HUGGGGGGGGGZ!
Keshi.
lovely post... i do agree with you. the past should remain buried. bt it shudnt b 4gotten because you dont want to make the same mistakes wn u are given a second chance... but it shouldnt b a hindrance 2 our present and our future.
Keshi: Hello Keshi,
***While the past must be buried, we r all made of our PAST experiences...the PAST is a big part of our PRESENT, no matter what.
I Would say the past played a big part of our present but is not our present unless we make it our present. What do you think? :)

I agree with ya Keshi. Most things are easier said than done. And our past does play flip sides with us. But than again, i guess we can't allow it to overtake us. ONce again easier said than done. But if we were to always allow its mockery to get over us than how would we ever tell it to shut Up? ya know what i mean?

Its not an easy thing for me to do as well. But i guess at times we have a choice to give ourself awhile and than get out and breathe some new air in. Its like pushing ya ass when it does not want to move at all. You know what i mean. Sometimes we rather live in pain. I admit i have been there. but than again, we all go through that don't we. So yeah its either i choose to live in those damn memories or just get a life out there. u know what i mean.
Thanks Keshi for sharing your heart out.:)
Cheers!
FireWhisky: Hello.:)

Thats true Whisky i agree with ya on how it should not be forgotten. You said it well above. Thanks.:D
Cheers!
ty Amy!
**but is not our present unless we make it our present. What do you think?
true...very true. And thats the hardest bit..letting the past be in the past. but like u said, if we try, we CAN do it.
