Male body with gunshot injuries found in Vellaave'li

Residents of Vellaave'li area in Batticaloa district found the body of a male with gunshot injuries to the head and chest Tuesday around 8:00 a.m, Ka'luvangchikudi police said.
The victim was identified as Shanmugam Saseekaran, 33, a father of 2 children from Koayil Veethy in Ka'luthava'lai. The body has been transferred to the Ka'luvangchikudi district hospital for postmortem examinations.
