Outsiders Groups
Outsiders
is responsive to the needs of our members and to the sexual needs
of disabled people in general.
To this end, we are running several pilot schemes and initiatives, in the
hope of getting funding in order to be able to establish national networks.
-
SHADA
is the Sexual Health and Disability Alliance which is being created so
that helpline operators, and professionals advising disabled people
about their sexual problems, can learn from each other, and formulate policies.
-
The V-Group
is for disabled women with sexual problems.
-
The LGBT Network
is for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered disabled people to support each
other and enjoy themselves.
-
Sweet Talk
is a pilot scheme being run with
Danda,
to help people with Aspergers Syndrome and neurodiverse people learn how to initiate relationships.
-
The Bristol Initiative has been funded by the St. Monica Trust to
establish ways to help disabled people feel less isolated in urban sprawls.
