I loved Luna so much!! She has always been one of my favourite characters in the books, and now...wow she was so amazing in the film!

Anyway, this thread didn't have much of a point other than to say how much I love Luna!!

Well I haven't been around for AGES!! Don't really know why... just haven't lol!

But now the film has come out, and I'm eagerly awaiting the next (and last) book, I thought I'd pop back here and say hey to all my old Pensieve friends!!

I've been trying to stay away from Deathly Hallows spoilers... I really don't want to contemplate what might happen, becuase I did that last time and was disappointed when Jo told HER story, not mine!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/hissyfit.gif)

Going to the midnight opening on friday night, and I can't wait, but I'll probably cry when I finish the book - no more Harry Potter!!

And I still don't know who I want to die/win (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Anyway, hey everyone!! Looking forward to talking to y'all again!!

Well... where to start? With lifeSIGNS I guess, a charity I've been supporting for about a year now (Well, it only became a charity a couple of months ago) and it's kinda important to me... so yeah, it's self injury awareness day in a few weeks, and so thought I'd spread some more awareness here!! (IMG:http://the-pensieve.org/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

there's loads of info at lifeSIGNS but should put some stuff here just to let you all know!!

QUOTE
LifeSIGNS: Self Injury Guidance & Network Support

Self Harm (SH) is often misunderstood, people think its only a phase or attention seeking or that only emos do it but this isnt true... Around 4% of the UK population are known to SH and these are only the people who have admitted to it... many people who self harm feel they are alone and are 'weird' for doing it. At LifeSIGNS, we believe that SH is a coping mechanism. We believe that if we all support each other then we can work through our problems. We offer each other support and through this we meet new and lovely people.

March 1st is Self Injury Awareness Day (SIAD) and on this day people will be wearing either Orange and White or Red and Black... please join us in raising awareness of self injury and help in dispelling the rumour that goes with it...

Please help raise awareness everyone! It's so important, and it should be important to you whether it is something that affects you directly or not. You can buy writstbands from lifeSIGNS. Check out www.lifesigns.org.uk NOW!

Sorry this has been a really scrambled post... i don't even know if it's in the right place!! (IMG:http://the-pensieve.org/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

I was thinking about the way dobby repeatedly hurts himself, as we see in book two, as a form of punishment to himself. But could this be seen as a form of self injury, and did JKRowling intend it to be, do you think? There do seem to be a lot of issues approached in the book but does anyone else think that this might be one, or was it just showing Dobby's personality? We also see winky appearing to be depressed. Do these things seems slightly out of place in a childrens book? Sorry I don't seem to be able to phrase this as a question as such...

I came accross the link on the BBC website for a site which claims to give away free ipods. They had checked it out, and it turns out to be real! I was very cautious to try any of these offers before, but I guess I have some trust in the BBC. I tried it out, and completed one of the offers (cancelling during the free trial so that they didn't take any of my money). The offer took two weeks to be cleared, and now I need five people to sign up with my referral link. So, if anyone fancy's getting a new ipod for free (it seems pretty safe, I'm not getting any junk email from them, and after cancelling, none of my money was taken) this is the link (IMG:http://the-pensieve.org/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
