Did Hillary Dine And Dash In An Iowa Diner? Waitress Says “Yep, but what’s the big deal?”

What do I mean by “dine and dash”? Typically, that phrase is used to describe a two-bit con man (or woman) who strolls into a restaraunt and skips out without paying for their meal, but I say anybody who knowingly flees a restaurant without leaving a tip for the server whom they KNOW is making about two bucks an hour plus tips for a living is ALSO dining and dashing, but that’s just MOI.

The New York Times is reporting that Her Royal Thighness, Madame Hillary Rodham Clinton I, did just that recently:

“… And the day offered a perfect opportunity for the campaign, with a potentially embarrassing mini-scandal: a waitress’s report that Mrs. Clinton had failed to tip after eating at a Maid-Rite diner in central Iowa, an assertion that ricocheted around the Internet on Thursday.

After NPR broadcast the report, Mrs. Clinton’s campaign responded by saying the candidate and her aides had in fact left a tip: $100 on a $157 check at the diner. The restaurant manager, Brad Crawford, confirmed in interviews, including with The New York Times, that Mrs. Clinton, of New York, and her retinue had indeed left a tip, though he did not say how much. …”

(Snip!)

“… Reached at her home in Iowa, the waitress, Anita Esterday, said that neither she nor a colleague who helped serve Mrs. Clinton recalled seeing any tip.

She said a local staff member of Mrs. Clinton’s campaign was in the restaurant on Thursday to tell them that the campaign had left a tip.

She said that when she and her colleague said they had not seen a tip, the staff member gave each of them $20. …”

Alright — there ya GO. While it might have taken quite a bit of afterthought and many moons of reflection, coinciding with sinking poll numbers courtesy of Hillary’s fondness for PORK and driver licenses for ILLEGAL ALIENS, the “worker bee” gets her twenty dollars for putting up with “Her Royal Thighness”. Hey — better late than never, right?

And to think, this… this… WOMAN wants to be President.

GTL wrote: “And to think, this… this… WOMAN wants to be President.” — What is really surprising to me is that so many registered democrats out there WANT HER to be President, and apparently they think she is the best the democratic party has to offer.

Hey GTL, I heard there was a show on History Channel last night about military bloggers, I hope they put you on their show

LOL, F&B — no television appearances for moi, sir! I’ve had invites for T.V. and mag interviews and have never agreed to one yet, probably never will. Incognito for the most part works for me right now, bro…

    But thanks for saying this

Yeah, I agree DaveM, the History Channel is pretty good. I didn’t get to see it though, I was watching a video on globalization from MIT Sloan School of Management: http://mitworld.mit.edu/video/312/

It might be coming out on YouTube soon!

How about an apology for a false story. The manager was given a $100.00 tip on $152.00 worth of food. A GREAT TIP and he somehow “forgot” to share it with his employees.

I can not believe you fell for this.

I’ve worked for enough shady managers in my day to know what happened here.

There is still a a characterization of Hillary as the lead in this story. The story has been shown to be a lie, falsehood, untruth, wrong.

What part of RETRACTION don’t you understand?

How about a huge cartoon of the gun totin lib looking like Elmer Fudd and looking down the rabbit hole saying “missed again?
I run a blog, tiny by the lights of this one but I am not ashamed to publish and apologize for a mistake.

Come on now, if GTL printed a retraction every time he was wrong, he’d print more retractions than original posts!

As much as I’d like to see a woman president, I don’t trust Hillary as far as I can throw her.

Does that mean that leaving up lies is excusable?

The post is a lie. The headline is an Ugly lie. There is no excuse for leaving it up.

If I could think of something so bad it wasn’t true about G.Bush I would apologize.

We are led by a hypocrite and a liar, we do not have to willingly listen to one, or worse make simpering apologetic statements in half as*&D support.
