It's Only a Theory!!!!!
by AtlLiberal  Yesterday 7:13 PM
Link to the original if you think any of the clip is true. And please link to the original if you feel compelled to post creationist drivel in the comments. This is a public service clip so you don't have to make a fool of yourself and post a comment telling the world how you believe Jesus told you evolution was ungodly.

Treating wounded soldiers like $#%$%
by egoldstein  Yesterday 10:27 AM    9
I'm as much to blame as anyone, but i really am disappointed that the American people site by so idly while the Bush administration screws people so badly. It's great that we "disapprove" of them in polls, but when push comes to shove, we are allowing them to do whatever they want...and the results are truly sickening.

Errors in "An Inconvenient Truth"
by Rustee  Yesterday 8:38 PM    7
"All of the errors point in one direction – towards undue alarmism. Not one of the errors falls in the direction of underestimating the degree of concern in the scientific community. The likelihood that all 35 of the errors listed below could have fallen in one direction purely by inadvertence is less than 1 in 34 billion." Perhaps errors is too forgiving of a term...these are blatant lies. The source covers 35 "errors", with the 1st nine being those recently illustrated by a judge in Britain.

Why Science Will Triumph Only When Theory Becomes Law
by wildcat  11-15-2007    2
Turns out, the real culture war in science isn't about science at all — it's about language. And to fight this war, we need to change the way we talk about scientific knowledge.
