Tamil woman abducted in Aalankerni

A Tamil woman was abducted by unidentified armed men who came in a white van at Aalankerni, a traditional Tamil village in Kinniya division in Trincomalee district, Wednesday morning around 7.30 a.m.
The abductee has been identified as Pottukili Vipuladevi, 35. She contested the Kinniya Urban Council held in 2006 on Tamil National alliance (TNA) ticket. Relatives have lodged a complaint with the Kinniya police division, sources said.
