NEW! - Full tile and resize table & mini views. Full Tilt have just introduced the ability to view multiple tables at the same time with their new tile and resize tables feature. You can stretch each window to your own preferred size to simultaneously view as many tables as you need. This is a brilliant update from Full Tilt, which has been extremely well received by the online poker community. This new feature has just tipped the balance of our Top 10, to put Full Tilt back in as our No.1 recommended poker room again.
Play, chat and learn from the Pros. - Established in 2004, Full Tilt poker has an unrivalled band of poker pros playing exclusively on their site. The Full Tilt team includes, Howard Lederer, Phil Ivey, Chris Ferguson, John Juanda, Jennifer Harman, Phil Gordon, Erick Lindgren, Erik Seidel, Clonie Gowen, Andy Bloch, Mike Matusow, Gus Hansen and Allen Cunningham. That's not including a long list of other professionals who also play there. Any time one of the pro's is playing at a table, it shows up in red in the lobby - you try not going to have a look, it can become addictive! One question - does Mark Vos ever sleep?
There are regular scheduled live chats with the pros where you can quiz them on the intricacies of the game. You can read all the transcripts of previous chats on their website, which also contains a fascinating series of Tips and Lessons from the pros.
Full Tilt's independent software is packed full of features. You can choose your own preferred background, as well as a new racetrack view instead of the classic round table view. Their cartoon avatars have emotion options, letting the table know how you feel. If you earn enough FTP's (Full Tilt points) to become a VIP you even have the option of having a custom avatar made! There's also a lovely little feature building on the traditional notes system where you can colour code your opponents - very useful.
There's also a full range of European languages supported (see the list on the left hand side for details).
Tournaments. There's a guaranteed weekly prizepool of over $5 million at Full Tilt, so even though the weekly Sunday $750,000 guaranteed starts 11pm GMT (4pm ET), there's still plenty to interest the European players. I found the MTT tournament lobby a little frustrating as the guarantees and satellite details aren't displayed until you click each tournament listing, I hope this is sorted out in the next upgrade. There is an attempt at colour coding the tournaments, but I found them to be a bit vague and inconsistent. Despite that, I would still highly recommend Full Tilt for tournament players as there's an immense amount of choice, with buy-ins to suit all budgets.
The Sit n Go's at Full Tilt receive a lot of traffic 24/7, there's a choice of multi-table or single table Sit and Go's at all levels. With even the high stakes tables starting regularly around the clock.
Last August FTOPS V was a phenomenal success but Full Tilt Poker have topped it with the bigger and better Full Tilt Online Poker Series VI (FTOPS VI). Starting on November 7th and running for 12 days, there are 15 events with over $9m in prizes. Each event is to be hosted by a Full Tilt pro poker player and you will have the opportunity to chat with the pros during the tournament. Join one of the satellites, that are running now, for as little as $2 + $0.25 or 50 Full Tilt Points (FTPs). If you win more than one entry to a tournament then the buy-in for that tourney will be credited to your Full Tilt player account. Following 12 days of finals the Main Event will take place on 18th November with a massive prize pool of $2m! Missed the satellites? No worries, buy in for $500 + $35.
In addition to the fabulous cash prizes up for grabs in FTOPS VI if you finish in the money then you'll receive a limited edition Full Tilt Poker cap. Play yourself into any one of the finals and you'll get the Full Tilt Poker cap plus a limited edition FTOPS jacket. Win a final and get the cap, jacket, gold Full Tilt jersey and a gold FTOPS Avatar for use on Full Tilt Poker (if that doesn't scare your opponents, I don't know what will!).

Full Tilt are giving us all the opportunity to join the largest Poker Tournament in the Southern Hemisphere, the
Aussie Millions 2008, held in Melbourne, Australia in January next year. Win the experience of a lifetime with the $18,500 prize package which includes buy in of $10,500, 10 nights stay for you and a friend in the Crown Casino Resort, $3,000 spending money, round trip from L.A. to Melbourne, Australia, winner and pro golf outings, dinners, winery tours, seminars and bounty tournaments (phew - I'm worn out already!). Satellites are running now with freerolls, FTP (Full Tilt Points) entries as well as the opportunity to buy in directly up until qualifying ends on 21st December.
Cash games. I've read in most other reviews that the Full Tilt cash games have a lack of players. Not so at all! The site gets a huge amount of cash game traffic, plenty of choice for multitablers even out of peak hours. There's even a decent amount of traffic at the Omaha, 7 Stud and Razz tables. Recently introduced are the 'mixed game' tables where you can battle it out in the game range of your choice. For high stakes players, whatever your game, Full Tilt is a must.
Promotions. Full Tilt have an active promotions program rewarding their most active players with some great options. Their
Iron Man challenge is well under way again for 2007 and is a great way to reward the Full Tilt regular players. Your Iron Man status relates to how many FTP's you have collected in any one month. Play regularly enough and you'll move up through the ranks eventually achieving Iron Man status. Each level achieved permits you to join a monthly freeroll ($10k - Bronze, $15k - Silver, $20k - Gold and a massive $30k for Iron Man status). The winner of each freeroll will go on to play in an exclusive 4 person Sit n Go for a prize of $5k. The champion of the Sit n Go will then go on to play 3 pro's in a heads-up match with the possibility of walking away with an additional 100k. If you'd rather not take part in the freerolls you can collect Iron Man Medals which you can exchange for cash, tournaments entries or even your own private table.
Competition. As you imagine with all the pros playing at Full Tilt, the competition is quite tough. However, if you hang out at the lower levels the competition is around average but I've been lucky enough to find some very soft games at the 25c/50c to $1/$2 range.
