Alderney Museum
Display cabinet in Alderney Museum
All conserved artefacts from the wreck are either stored or on display in the Alderney Museum at St Anne's.
The Museum, which was established in 1966, is owned and administered by the Alderney Society, 'an organisation dedicated to the historical, environmental and scientific promotion of the Island of Alderney'. In 1993 the Museum achieved fully registered status and, in 1999, won the prestigious Museums and Galleries' Gulbenkian Award for 'most outstanding achievement' (presented by H.R.H. Prince of Wales). Artefacts from the wreck are displayed on the ground floor in room G2.
An expansion of the premises is planned, following which the Elizabethan Wreck will become the new centrepiece of the museum.
