Make your recommendations, criticisms and declarations here.
I have already plugged Art of Fighting on these boards, but it won't hurt to do it again. |

They're definitely not in need of a plug from me, but I've been listening mostly to The Rolling Stones lately. They really are excellent entertainers. I've also picked up a few David Bowie songs along the way.

I've never been able to get into the Rolling Stones. They're touring in Australia soon (or now? I know not), so there's a lot of media hype, but I just can't quite manage to dig it. And I can't quite imagine them going off live.

Art of Fighting's site is gorgeous. Unfortunately, I can't download .ram files on this computer, but I'll check it out when I get a chance.
My plug - Over the Rhine. They're a very folk influenced Cincinnati band. Very worth a listen. |

I saw both The Lion King and Mamma Mia! in the past few months. As such, I've been listening to Abba and The Lion King soundtrack since Mid-November.
Somebody help. Please? |

What kind of help are you looking for, Snidgella? A 12-step program?

Snidget- Try the Aida soundtrack. More Elton John-y than Lion King, and you get the bonus of a wonderful cast.
I'm totally addicted to musicals too. (IMG:http://the-pensieve.org/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

QUOTE(Zelda @ Feb 13 2003, 06:45 PM) What kind of help are you looking for, Snidgella? A 12-step program? Yeah. Just something that will stop me from humming 'Take a Chance on me' during math class. |

I've been listening to a lot of Sex Pistols lately, and I too have picked up a lot of David Bowie music. Mostly stuff from his Let's Dance album if you'd believe it.

I am currently going through a Ramones phase. Wore my "Joey Lives" shirt to work and sang "I Wanna Be Sedated" for most of the day. THe rest of the crew is quite ready to sedate me, actually.

I think my dearest friend will kill me if we have to listen to "Anarchy in the UK" one more time. Then there's the fact that I'm immersing myself completely in British punk culture in preparation for an as of yet untitled indie film that we're making. I'm a British cowgirl...apparantly.

I think everyone here is doing great in the music department -not sure about Abba, though;). Velvet, Bowie, Ramones, Sex Pistols, all of them old favorites. I think everyone knows I love Bowie (nice to know we have it in common, Loki), so if you need a Top 10 list, I can do it anytime (hey, I wrote a book about the guy).
All my thoughts now are for Bryan Ferry. I saw him live yesterday! It was awesome! God, how I love that guy. It's so nice to see how he is getting old gracefully. His last album, "Frantic", is his best, in my opinion (not counting Roxy Music, of course). I don't listen to the Stones much, but they are absolutely great live. Really. Go see it. Mick Jagger is amazing, even in his very old age. |

I think that if I were to tell all of you what I listen to in general, I'd be banned from this forum. In general though, my absolute fave CD is Dimitri from Paris A night at the playboy mansion. I know, soooo done. But I put it on, memories come flooding back. First my feet start tapping, then hips start shaking, and all of a sudden my hands are waving around madly in the air.
Another CD that is constantly in my little portable jive box is anything by Massive Attack. *sigh* Those damn memories again. Great music to, you know, . . . um . . . sleep to, ofcourse. |
