Build a Niche Store
I have been MIA for a bit because I’ve been very busy getting our rental house in order after my sister moved out (quite abruptly). The first week was crazy busy but I think we are actually on schedule so I am back to focusing on my blogs and internet aspirations.
I purchased the Build a Niche Store script about 6 months ago. I have developed a few stores but I haven’t put the necessary time and work into them as I should have. I am so lucky to have found a fantastic series that walks you through the process of creating a successful BANS. Mark from Build A Niche Store Builder is currently conducting a fantastic series of step-by-step instructions for the beginner to learn how to create a successful BANS site.
Just a bit of background on BANS - it is very easy to install and use. I think the secret comes with getting your site out there. I have 2 BANS sites. The first is one based on home and garden supplies, Spoonful of Elegance. The second is Star Wars toys (my husband’s idea which is called Padawan’s Playhouse. I do have Wordpress blogs attached to each store so that some content is attached to the stores.
Today was catch up day for me. Since I have two BANS sites under my belt I am sort of familiar with the script but I went back and read all of his posts so I am almost caught up.
1. Discover niche market: The tools he gives are fantastic and I think I’ve found my niche (I’ll post later)
2. Research niche market: He shows invaluable tools for researching! I didn’t sign up for Wordtracker due to the cost but I might one day.
3. Hosting (already have that through Bluehost)
4. Register my domain - check.
I’m off to install the BANS software now.
