Whatever happened to Michael Welch?
Michael Welch was the great white hope of the digital industries in this very region. He touched down from the US, replete with his self made millions, and was promptly snapped up to head Digital Industries North West. Just over a year later he was gone… and so was the DINW… and a lot of dreams, funding and time with it.

Is Liverpool leaving it too late?

An eagle-eyed reader has brought it to How-Do’s attention that Liverpool Council and The Liverpool Culture Company are apparently looking for a raft of suppliers to help out with the Capital of Culture Opening Ceremony. The closing date for those that express an interest in the tasks is 3 December, under six weeks from the actual event itself.

Marketing Projects designer takes the Hot Piss!
Your How-Do hack feels almost guilty writing about this and picking on one poor little marketing services agency. But the opportunity to use the term ‘Hot Piss’ in a headline was just too much to resist… as it obviously was for the agency’s web designer.

Panorama to investigate �botched� preparations for Liverpool 08?

According to rumours that have been brought to How-Do’s attention, it appears as though the BBC’s flagship investigative news show, Panorama, is in the process of researching a programme on the ‘rocky road’ to Liverpool’s Capital of Culture status in 2008.
