MXRate is a system that tracks the current and recent email sending habits of millions of mail servers and other computers world wide. We receive hundreds of thousands of reports per hour from our Alligate Anti-Spam Gateway users and this data is analyzed in real-time and a master database is constantly updated. Statistics are maintained on millions of addresses allowing us to provide probability percentages as to whether or not the sender is involved in spam sending activities. The senders "reputation" can then be determined by their probability percentage. Not only are spammers identified, but good senders are identified as well.
